I LOVE CHICAGO

Bob and I decided to go into the city on Friday. I forgot how much I miss it.
We drove to Navy Pier and spent a couple of hours walking , observing and than eating lunch.
After lunch we took the water taxi to North Michigan Ave
and walked to Milenium Park.
Of course, I had to stop at Fanny May to have ice cream.

We walked around the park and enjoyed all the sights. I love the bean and water fountain. My favorite part of the day was seeing all the
people.
I really felt like I belonged in the city.
I guess living there for 30 years brings back so many memories.
After a few hours of walking, we headed home.
We must do this again. It was really an enjoyable day.
Bob even liked it!!!
Now it's back to the sterile boonies. Why do I live here?

Sounds like a fun day and you had beautiful weather for it. Did you go up in the balloon?

Was great meeting you today : ) Funny how small the world is.

we live in the "boonies" because that is where we get a chance to: walk slowly, hear angels speak to us, and get in touch with our real selves. Cities are for reminding ourselves how disconnected and lost we can become all the time - if we stay there!

Yeah! for the boonies!!!
Blessings.
